Monday at Gerrards Cross – The Interview Itself
March 2 @ 7:30 pm - 10:00 pm
Focussing on what happens at Interview & the strategies to compete successfully
Presenter: Sarah Kirkpatrick (Executive and Career Transition Coach)
Interviewing is a poor description for the business meeting that you are going to attend to showcase your skills, capability and experience to a new employer. It is a two-way process and you already have some great business intelligence on hand – your interviewer already believes you can do the job. It sounds so obvious, but you simply wouldn’t be there otherwise. Tonight’s event focuses on what happens during the interview itself. You’ll find out how to handle tough interview questions, recognise and manage current interview techniques such as competency based interviewing and, if necessary, how to deal with any gaps in your CV.
Preparation is key to minimising nerves and boosting self-confidence. This session at Careers Springboard will help you plan for the event and ensure that you are at your most resourceful on the day, giving you the edge over other candidates in a competitive job market.
Sarah has been a Volunteer / Coach at Careers Springboard for more years that she cares to remember. Her background and coaching skills mean she is well placed to coach executives in career transition. She also coaches members on interview preparation and technique. Her presentation ” How to succeed at interview” draws on her years of recruitment for a large organisation and on her experience of the issues regularly arising when coaching Springboard members on interview preparation and technique.
