When job searching we need to be using all of the tools at our disposal and LinkedIn is definitely up there in terms of relevance – not least because it is a favourite haunt of recruiters too as part of their hiring activities.
We will try to look at LinkedIn not just from the perspective of an online CV but as an active tool to help you tap into the hidden opportunities which exist in the marketplace and within your own network.
We will touch on the Profile – and the two key audiences it needs to appeal to – but then turn our attention to proactive job seeking, approaching recruiters and potential target companies, how to market yourself and ways to make yourself more visible on the site – not just in search but where it really matters.

Hopefully, you should leave the session with ideas about how to up the ante with regards to your profile, how to find and engage with the people who should know about you and also how to raise your profile, whatever your specialism.
