Monday 21st Jun – Webinar: How To Improve Your Employability

June 21 @ 7:00 pm - 9:30 pm

How to improve your employability –  A Q&A with Janet Thorne & Ben Bergonzi

We’re joined by Janet Thorne, CEO of REACH volunteering and Ben Bergonzi a Careers Springboard coach for a Question & Answer session about how to improve your employability whilst job searching. We will explore some of the challenges of job searching from networking, gaps on your CV, pivoting career to interviews and more.

Janet is the CEO of Reach Volunteering, a national charity which connects people who are willing to donate their expertise with those charities that need it. Last year, charities recruited over 3,500 volunteers through Reach’s service, to act as trustees, or support charities with projects or specific areas of their work.  Janet believes that volunteering your skills is really impactful way of making a difference. It is also a wonderful opportunity to learn new skills, grow as a person and feel a wider sense of purpose.

Janet has been CEO of Reach since 2012. Before joining Reach, she has worked in areas that include community development, youth work, recruitment and credit unions, in public and private sectors, and civil society.

Ben Bergonzi lives in Little Chalfont and works at the University of Hertfordshire co-ordinating placements for student teachers. He completed the University’s Leading through Coaching course which builds the skills of workplace coaching.  He has had a varied prior working career in the education, public and private sectors, having been a museum curator, a manager of both marketing and technical teams and a superintendent registrar.
