Rory Fisher – Chairperson

Rory is our Chairperson, a Trustee on the Executive Committee and a member of the Program Committee.
He retired from QinetiQ PLC in September 2022, after a 35 year executive career mostly in the defence, security and aerospace sectors.
He is now focussed on volunteering in the charity sector and helping small local companies to grow.
He has always been passionate about driving performance and growing businesses by building high performance teams and is now using his experience in leadership, consulting and executive coaching for the benefit of Careers Springboard

Isabelle Baker – Programme Coordinator

Isabelle has been a long time member of Careers springboard and has recently become a Trustee and Programme Coordinator.

John Pope – CV Coordinator

John is a Trustee, member of the Executive Committee, and advises members on CV Preparation and Interview Preparation/Practice, concentrating on the content of answers to likely, and sometimes awkward, interview questions.

John Pope is a retired Career Consultant with over 30 years’ experience in the manufacturing and services industries. His career includes project management and internal and external consultancy roles in such prominent organisations as H J Heinz, the De La Rue Group, PA Management Consultants, Metal Box and the Stock Exchange. This was followed by 15 years as a Senior Career Consultant with Sanders & Sidney, one of the first outplacement consultancies in the UK (later absorbed by Penna). There he counselled individuals drawn from the professions and from senior and middle management in a very wide range of sectors and functions.  He has a Postgraduate Diploma in Counselling.

Peter Ranwell – Coordinator for Coaching and Interview Practice sessions

Peter is a Trustee and Committee Member. He is currently responsible for coordinating the Coaching and Interview Practice sessions for members. To arrange a session with one of our coaches please email coach@careersspringboard.org.uk

Peter is an experienced IT Manager with relationship management/business partnering skills, analysis skills and project management expertise. He has gained exposure in various markets with extensive knowledge of working within a highly regulated (pharmaceutical & SOX) environment using PRINCE 2 methodologies and ITIL. Previous roles within Nomad Foods, Thames Valley Housing, Nuffield Health, Kingfisher, Astellas Pharma, GE (General Electric), Amersham plc, Pfizer and Black & Decker in a number of positions where he implemented global ERP, technical and bespoke solutions to introduce process improvements and system management capability as well as delivering compliance and cost reduction programmes.

Peter is self-motivated, calm, confident, positive has excellent communication, facilitation and interpersonal skills, high energy levels and a track record of ‘getting things done’.

Wolfgang Kleemann – Administrator

Wolfgang is a Trustee and a member of the Executive Committee. He is currently responsible for the administration of Careers Springboard, which includes the Weekly Newsletters.

Wolfgang is an HR Professional and currently working in a global HR role for DS Smith. His background is systems and processes where he spent many years at Harrods and then at Nissan Motor Company before transitioning into an HR role, still with a system focus. After his role at Nissan was made redundant in 2017, Wolfgang turned to Careers Springboard. He was very impressed with what Careers Springboard had to offer and started to become a volunteer, before being asked to become a Trustee in 2019.

Ralph Baker – Administrator

Ralph is a Trustee and a member of the Executive Committee. He is currently responsible for the administration of Careers Springboard. Ralph has a small team of volunteers who help him to manage the registration of new members, the weekly newsletter, the Linkedin site and the generation of the statistics that our funders and exec team need. Ralph has retired from a long and varied career in a number of different roles and industries. 

Richard Lambert – Volunteer

Richard is a Trustee and Executive Committee member of Careers Springboard at Gerrards Cross. Drawing on several years of experience with Careers Springboard, Richard helps in a variety of ways with the running of the charity – fundraising, secretary duties, chairing Monday meetings, presentations, providing advice and suggestions. He is the first and principal contact for those Careers Springboard members seeking counselling services.

His background is the management of large scale, single and multi-site service facilities, in senior roles with operational, customer service and commercial responsibilities. Industry sectors have been food service and healthcare.

Francis Thompson – Treasurer

Francis Thompson is a Trustee, member of the Executive Committee and has the role of Treasurer. He is responsible for keeping the accounts so that Careers Springboard can confidently continue to offer its services to those seeking guidance, help and companionship in their endeavours to establish their careers. After qualifying as a Chartered Accountant, Francis’s career was in finance and then industry.

Andy Low – Volunteer 

Andy is a Trustee, a member of the Executive Committee and our former Chairperson. He is also one of the speakers on the roster, delivering talks on Networking and CV writing to both the Gerrards Cross group and our sister organisation that meets in Slough.

Andy is also a Career Transition coach with LHH/Penna, the UK’s leading executive outplacement firm, which helps senior managers looking for new roles in the workplace. In this role he also delivers specialist support in marketing and all things to do with working and relocating internationally. He has a Certificate in Professional Coaching Skills from an accredited International Coach Federation training affiliate and delivers 1:1 executive coaching to senior managers. He takes up Interim management opportunities on occasion, utilising skills developed during a 30 year full time career in International Consumer products businesses, including two separate spells working and living in the USA.
