SUMMARY:Monday 12th December – Webinar: Preparing for the Winter Break
DESCRIPTION:Careers Springboard exists to help and support you to find your next role.  Our weekly sessions are a source of advice and even solace during the grind of daily job search. \nAlthough there will be several weeks with no virtual Gerrards Cross meetings\, we cannot possibly take all of that time off from job search.  If we were in employment\, we would not usually be able to take four weeks holiday\, and the same applies to our full-time employment in job search.  We are not suggesting that you don’t take a break at all!  Only you will know how to strike the right balance. \nYes\, it’s tough to maintain our job search whilst others are relaxing and enjoying themselves with some time off.   \nWhat may make it even more challenging is there won’t be the continuity of a Gerrards Cross meeting every week to keep us on that job search track. \nThis session will help you plan your job search activity now\, identifying and concentrating on the key areas tol target throughout the Christmas break  It is essential to be disciplined\, remain focused and reward ourselves when we achieve those small steps towards success. \nMartin will help you by guiding you through his proven process to a successful job search journey over the seasonal period. \nPresenter: Martin Garrity \nMartin Garrity is the founder of Your Career Reimagined in which he coaches Career Changers\, Jobseekers\, Career Returners and Career Starters to get the right job for them. \nHis passion is helping his clients to understand themselves more deeply so that they can seek the role that’s right for them and their situation. \nHe’s worked in corporate HR roles for decades so understands the recruitment and selection process through and through.  He’s also a qualified Executive Coach who has worked with senior leaders in a wide range of industries – IT\, Manufacturing\, Publishing\, Social Care and Central and Local Government.\n\n \nTo join the webinar you need to be a Careers Springboard member. Register for free now. If you are an existing member you will receive the Zoom link in the weekly e-newsletter. \n[maxbutton id=”1″ ]

SUMMARY:Monday 5th December – Webinar: Tell Me About Yourself (TMAY)
DESCRIPTION:The uniqueness that Stephen brings to the party is the clarity\, factual and succinct delivery of his pitch\, interspersed with appropriate pauses\, which\, as a total package creates significant IMPACT for his listener (buyer) or audience.\nIn preparation of your own elevator pitch\, you already know who you are\, then adding to that you should include what you do (your role\, position\, organisation\, perspective of scale)\, and then what you do better (reflects your skills\, experience and the value added part)\, in other words – the key attributes that make you stand out and will give you the edge over your competition. \nAt Careers Springboard we encourage our members to prepare at least 2 elevator pitches for their toolkit – the 30 second (elevator version) and the 1 minute version.  In addition\, for initial conversation where you have gauged there is a little more time available\, it is worthy of preparing a 2 minute version as well.  In more informal situations of meeting\, any of these can be tailored\, where for example you may have been invited round to friends for drinks – don’t bore the pants off this  potential contact\, but inspire them with your value.!  Always make it relevant\, succinct\, quantifiable….. and then reciprocate – What do you do..? Then\, actively listening to their response is very important\, to identify how their ‘value added’ could potentially be of benefit to you and vice-versa.  \nWe look forward to welcoming you on Monday evening to hear Stephen Ostercamp speak about the elevator pitch.  \nPresenter: Stephen Ostercamp \nStephen is a volunteer at Careers Springboard and has delivered his compelling talk on TMAY \n(Tell Me About Yourself) or elevator pitch for several years.\nHe secured an MBA in Finance and Marketing at Indiana University\, and has fulfilled a number of senior positions throughout his career.  Roles include; Business Group Manager at QinetiQ Group Ltd\, Director for Strategic Business Development whilst engaged with the International Bureau of Aviation\, and Client Engagement Director for France\, Nordics and UK at CPA Global.\nStephen is currently working as a Growth Account Manager EMEA for JW Player. \n  \nTo join the webinar you need to be a Careers Springboard member.
