SUMMARY:Monday 2nd Nov – Webinar: How To Answer - Tell Me About Yourself
DESCRIPTION:Get the 60 second Tell Me About Yourself right! How to polish your response to this frequent and important interview question \n‘Tell Me About Yourself’ (TMAY) is one of the most common interview questions. At Careers Springboard we encourage our members to prepare a number of TMAYs for their toolkit a 30 second and 1 minute version. You can also prepare a 2 minute version. \nIn preparation of your own TMAY pitch\, you already know who you are\, then adding to that you should include what you do (your role\, position\, organisation\, perspective of scale)\, and then what you do better (reflects your skills\, experience and the value added part)\, in other words – the key attributes that make you stand out and will give you the edge over your competition. \nWhat will I learn?\n\nA structure for your Tell Me About Yourself response\nTips for creating an impact\nThe opportunity to practice it with others in a supportive environment\n\nBefore I attended Stephen’s TMAY session I dreaded answering the ‘Tell Me About Yourself’ question! I lacked confidence in how to present my skills and achievements. Stephen’s approach is simple\, but effective. I was nervous about practicing my own TMAY in the session\, but it really helped. Everyone is so supportive and by the end of the presentation I felt much more confident. \nPresenter: Stephen Ostercamp \nStephen has delivered his compelling talk on TMAY (Tell Me About Yourself) for several years. The clarity\, factual and succinct delivery of Stephen’s pitch\, interspersed with appropriate pauses creates significant IMPACT for his audience. \nStephen secured an MBA in Finance and Marketing at Indiana University\, and has fulfilled a number of senior positions throughout his career.  Roles include; Business Group Manager at QinetiQ Group Ltd\, Director for Strategic Business Development whilst engaged with the International Bureau of Aviation\, and Client Engagement Director for France\, Nordics and UK at CPA Global. Stephen is currently working as a Growth Account Manager EMEA for JW Player. \n[maxbutton id=”1″ ]

SUMMARY:Monday 28th Sept – Webinar:Goal Setting
DESCRIPTION:This event will help you differentiate between a good goal and a daydream which is the first step in creating the life you want.\n\nSuccessful people were observed to have specific\, measurable\, achievable\, realistic and time stamped (SMART) goals and a flexible but persistent attitude to reach their goals.\n\nDuring the event\, you will have a chance to complete a satisfaction snapshot of your life: how satisfied you feel in different aspects of your life\, and how important these aspects are for you at the present moment.\nThen\, you will select one aspect and practice writing some SMART goals for yourself. But life doesn’t stop at goal setting so Marianna will lead you through a series of questions to explore ways of reaching your goal using the GROW model;\n\nA model that is based on 4 stages:\nG = clarifying your goal\,\nR = exploring reality\, where you are now about that goal\,\nO = what options are there for you to get closer to your goal\, and\nW = way forward or creating your specific\, practical action plan.\n\nBe prepared to listen\, share\, explore and be inspired. You may decide to follow the model of success that has proven to bring results to many other successful people.\n\nMarianna Forro runs her own life coach and NLP (neuro linguistic programming) practitioner business. She volunteers at the East Berkshire Careers Springboard in different capacities. Outside of coaching\, she has a broad range of expertise and experiences from project and event management to scientific researcher and dog trainer\, to mention a few.\n\nHer compassion to empower individuals to replace their limiting beliefs so they can live a more fulfilling life is behind her choice to offer a session on goal setting.\nPresenter: Marianna Forro (Life Coach & NLP Practitioner) \nRegister for free to receive the Zoom link.
