SUMMARY:Monday at Gerrards Cross - Preparing for the Winter Break (Mince Pies & Mulled Wine)
DESCRIPTION:How to plan and manage your job search activity through the winter break. \nPresenter: Martin Garrity (Management & Leadership Development Manager) \nMartin has a great track record of helping people who are at a career crossroads. His clients are typically people who want to get a new job\, get back into work after their role has been made redundant\, returners who may have taken a career break\, graduates leaving the education system or people who are not sure what career they really want and need to formulate in a career plan. CVs\, interview preparation\, finding hidden vacancies and driving  job search campaigns are all services that Martin provides. His previous clients include: The Atomic Weapons Establishment\, Shell Exploration\, Blackwells Publishing\, Lotus and Her Majesty’s Prison Service. \nPreparing for the winter break is not about filing the job search away for 2-3 weeks; it is exactly the opposite. In fact\, to go one step further\, it requires some creative thinking to consider\, plan and follow through with agreed diary commitments to exploit the opportunities that present themselves over this period.\nThis may also be  a time to reflect on how well your job search campaign is going – consider doing more of those aspects that are working well for you and concentrate less on the things\, which are not as successful. Also\, think about what you may like to add to your job search campaign to start in the New Year. Finally\, ‘Take a break for goodness sake!’ and spend some quality time with family and friends = we all must give ourselves the right for this to happen – never feel guilty!
